School is almost out for summer and Galaxy Arcade in Downtown Statesville couldn’t have picked a better time to open!

Get ready for out-of-this-world fun in one of downtown’s newest businesses—Galaxy Arcade!  Galaxy Arcade in Downtown Statesville officially opened May 7th.

There are games, snacks, cold drinks, popcorn, comics and more! There is literally something for everyone to enjoy.

We’re talking throwback games parents will love to play again and the kids will love to play for the first time!

You can pull up a seat and enjoy one- or two-player rounds of arcade classics for just 50 cents. Go retro at the table-top gaming console and choose from the classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Galaga and Donkey Kong, for instance.

There are also games like Shaq Attaq Pinball, Big Buck Hunter and Chase H.Q. 2, which happens to be an arcade-exclusive racing game released in 2007.

Plus, you can challenge your family and friends to championship rounds of air hockey and foosball for bragging rights until your next visit to Galaxy Arcade in Downtown Statesville.

And bring all your pocket change to see just what you can win at the Hot Stuff Claw Machine! Or, get a handful of those colorful candy dog bones, a big gumball or a bouncy ball from good old-fashioned vending machines.

Head to 228 West Broad St. in Downtown Statesville for a day of classic gaming and then some. Galaxy Arcade is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. The cost of games ranges from 50 cents to $1.
