Have you ever wondered what’s brewing in Statesville? The answer is lots of unique things, including what you’ll find at two local breweries in Statesville, North Carolina, when you head downtown.
Fourth Creek Brewing Co.
Fourth Creek Brewing Co. happens to be Statesville’s first brewery since Prohibition. They opened in September 2019. You can find them on the end of West Broad Street, at 226 West Broad St., to be exact.
Expect good beer, good people and good fun at this independently-owned brewery.
Fourth Creek serves craft beer, seltzers, ciders, cocktails and wine. The beer they brew uses fresh local ingredients and includes choices like Stone Chaser, their flagship beer. It’s described as a light and refreshing blonde ale that’s perfect all year round.
Plus, you’ll find cool seasonal options like the “Caramel Apple Crumble Cider”—a pastry cider created for the holiday season! Be sure to check out the full beer list and descriptions before your visit.
Did we mention it’s family-friendly? There is even a wall of board games for both kids and adults to enjoy during your visit. You can also bring your own favorite game if you prefer!
In fact, Thursdays are officially game night while Fridays and Saturdays often include live music and near-by food trucks. Wednesdays are meant for trivial things. For instance, tonight Christmas Trivia starts at 7 p.m. and next Wednesday it’s Trivia 2021-A year in review.
Red Buffalo Brewing
Red Buffalo Brewing is yet another fine example of something special in Statesville. Turns out both breweries in Statesville, North Carolina, were born out of a hobby and passion for the art of craft brewing.
Located at 108 North Center St., Red Buffalo is a local gathering spot known for live music and good beer. They serve their own craft beers, including their flagship brew Buffalo Red Ale, along with other imports and domestics as well as wine and sake cocktails.

A fun twist at Red Buffalo Brewing is their love for all things Statesville. From certain brews, like Clock Tower 1892 IPA, to the ingredients used in brewing, there is a local tie to both the past and present.
