What is the Iredell County Partnership for Young Children?
The Iredell County Partnership for Young Children is a nonprofit organization. They are committed to significantly advancing the learning and healthy development of children from birth to age 5. The group focuses on providing services that improve the quality of early childcare and education, offer family support, promote child health, and encourage literacy.
What does the partnership offer?
The Iredell County Partnership for Young Children offers free services to Iredell County residents with children ages birth to 5. A few of the awesome services provided include a monthly book donated by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for each child under, car seat safety and education; at-home visits for additional parental support, interactive playgroups, and more.
One of the lesser known services provided by the partnership is in collaboration with the state-funded pre-K program known as NC Pre-Kindergarten. This free program is vital for the early success of the young children in our area. To be eligible, children must be 4 years old on or before August 31. Classrooms are located in public schools and high-quality private childcare centers in the area. There are also family income requirements.
